Paris and movies. Yes. I just saw one of my favorites, “California Split” at the Cinémathèque Française last night. Man, after struggling with my french all day, it was so nice to see a couple of charming, fucked up, gambling addict AMERICANS on screen, a terrific troubled George Segal and such a young, cool Elliot Gould - and then feeling a strange surge of pride for our ruffled iconic Americans. I mean, no one can rock a cheap suit in Reno like Elliot Gould! The man is a damn national treasure!
